North Alabama Veterinary Orthopedics recognizes fractures due to trauma as being true orthopedic emergencies. As a result, we are prepared and equipped to dispatch quickly to various locations in order to provide this service. Additionally, we will address traumatic luxation(s), ligament damage, and other concurrent conditions.
We are equipped to manage all fractures for all patient shapes and sizes. Our smallest patients have weighed less than a pound, and our largest - well over 100 pounds!
Addressing concurrent conditions
Oftentimes , concurrent, imminently life-threatening soft tissue injuries of the chest and/ or abdomen are present- We are capable and willing to assist/ treat/ consult on these injuries as well. The nature of our work necessitates a firm understanding of the concurrent, life threatening injuries that accompany patients who have experienced trauma, especially those hit by cars.
